I will be out of town, however I seriously recommend going to my favorite monthly in Portland, Various. The last Various we attended was their anniversary and I am in need of my dubstep fix.
So I just got this on wax! For all my Mortal Kombat fans!
also this happens to me everytime I go to the corner store too.
and to wrap things up.
KOOL KEITH'S SEATTLE SHOW WRITE UP I thought this was interesting. (Live and learn) I saw him the last time he came to Portland (doug fir) and I learned my lesson. Don't go and see washed up artists perform. I know some people would disagree with that. Also big shows aren't really my bag. Too many people, etc, etc.
In other news, Matt Nelkin Esq. just released a new mix to help promote Rockbox Dance Party!
So if you are into BMORE CLUB this is for you!
In national news, Mr Chi-City won his court case. I love following this guys youtubes. You wanna know why? Because he drink 4 liters of Mountain Dew before he films himself.
See ya Thursday for some hiphop classics and brand new cuts. Then Friday for fucking off the chain electro fuckin heat. I been playing it cool for a couple months. That shit is over. Prepare to be destroyed. Dan aka DUNDIGGY
It goes both ways. Jazz and Hiphop are two really powerful genres and teaming them up together creates a sense of timelessness. Wow.
My homie Ben Darwish is about to celebrate the release of his new album. On NYE he and his friends did a whole set of top 40/hiphop covers that were ill as fuck. I am convinced that it is all going to be a movement of real musicians bringing the music back to the music industry. Or not, when there is no loot to be made. We'll see I guess...
+
the long list of jazz artists that we all love
"I LOVE JAZZ MY MAN" - MADLIB + QUASIMOTO DUETS ~DAN aka DUNDIGGY
and in other news, T.I.'s Road to Redemption, the rapper completes the cycle of hypocrisy(rapping about the life of crime, money and guns, etc) Yes, it's insane and T.I. is a crazy character. Just check out his interview from the Chelsea Lately show...
He is taking the kids that love his music and telling them that his music is not cool. Is this show going to help him sell records? I bet it's gonna hurt his sales. I think it would be more beneficial for him to be selling drugs on tv or having sex with mad bitches, like Ray J. That show is gonna help Ray J for sure. Just look at all the hoes he's gets! He is cool!
I got something to say too. All these blogs posting up free music kinda sucks. It's great for regular people who just want one song off an album and are half way into music. Which is like 90 percent of people. But for the music nerds like myself and my comrades it is lame. It makes Hiphop culture more plastic. When I am trying to get more vinyl. So yeah. Maybe I should write a book to get all this funky shit outside my brain. Cuz I can't really explain. Anyways...
PS There should be a height limit for programs like serato...you must be this tall to get on this ride. Just a thought. Before you go out and make that purchase think about the wall of vinyl that I have at my house that makes you look like an amateur. Get on my level! DELICIOUS DAN AKA EL GENERALISMO!
